How early do I need to register to get my $5 early bird discount?
Register seven days in advance to get the discount, but you may not want to wait until then, many classes fill up fast.
What if a class is full?
We maintain waiting lists on our full classes, when someone cancels their registration we contact the first name on the waiting list. If a waiting list becomes very long we try to open a new section of the class on a different date or time.
How are the classes priced?
As part of Missoula County Public Schools we are fortunate to be able to offer our classes at the lowest cost possible. The fee you pay only covers the cost of the instructor salary and any class supplies. We charge a set dollar amount per class hour, we have different hourly charges based on the type of class, classes that require extensive equipment and maintenance like computer and welding labs are charged at higher hourly rate than classroom lecture classes.
Why do you cancel classes?
The last thing we want to do is to cancel a class, however we need a minimum number of students enrolled to allow us to break even on the class and pay the instructor salary. If a class does not meet that minimum we unfortunately have to cancel the class and refund the registration fees. Other reasons that classes may be cancelled depend on the instructor, occasionally an instructor can no longer teach a class and we were unable to find someone to replace them.
